The Shack

I liked the book as a story. The images of God as three persons are very compelling. The book attempts to take God out of the limited images that people place God and show that God can reveal His/Her self in any way He/She chooses. That revelation may not be what we are used to seeing and often makes us uncomfortable. This book defiantly takes the reader out of their comfort zone. The story has slow moving parts that seem to drag and it is not light reading. If you can get through those parts it is well worth the time. I encourage you to read it as what it is a piece of fiction and not as theology. Though the theology is dead on and is just enough to encourage curiosity in the reader. So, read it with an open mind and seek Biblical guidance for the curiosity.
