Glad That’s over!

Today has been particularly stressful. It really wasn’t that much of an unusal day. I got up, went to work, went to the eye glasses store to pick up new glasses and Oh, I did go to a job interview, there was that. Other than risking life and limb for a possible change of scenery at work, the day was practically the same as last Friday. I think a lot of what we say is stress is actually not stress but our method of dealing with it makes it feel stressful. When you think about it, what do Christians have to be stressed about? There is nothing in our life that God can not handle. If we trust Him to handle it, then we shouldn’t be stressed. He is strong enough for every battle we face and every stressful thing we have to deal with. The stress comes when we say, “Ok God I got this one.” Yep, here comes the stress.

I am going to try to take my own advice and give all my stress to God. Actually, I have tried that and I keep taking it back. Maybe I am not the one who should be giving advice on how to handle stress. It is hard not to try to take on what we are not meant too. Sometimes we are supposed to let things roll off our back and let the Big Guy take it on.  I wonder what would happen if we all took an oath to let go and let God do His thing? Let’s try that! Who’s with me?

All of those in favor, repeat after me:

“I, state your name, do solemnly swear to give God all my stress. I promise not to take it back not matter how much it begs me to do so! Please God help me to do Thy will and allow you to handle all my problems, challenges and battles. If I fail, please let me learn from my mistakes and give me the courage to try agian.  Amen”
